Privacy policy
Last updated: October 18, 2026
This page explains what personal information Insider Guidebooks collects when you buy a guide, why, and what you can ask us to do with it.
What we collect
- When you buy: your email address, your name and country, which guide you bought, the amount, and the date. Stripe collects these at checkout and shares them with us so we can deliver your guide.
- Your card details: we never see or store them. Stripe handles all payment information.
- When you write to us: your email address and whatever you choose to write.
- When you visit our pages: our host records basic technical information (such as IP address and browser type) to keep the site secure and working. Our pages also save a small note in your own browser to remember a sale timer or a closed pop-up. This stays on your device; we don't use advertising or tracking cookies. We count visits with Umami, a privacy-friendly statistics service that uses no cookies and keeps no personal information: only totals such as pages viewed, buttons clicked, and the website that sent you.
Why we use it
- To deliver your guide and send you your download link.
- To answer your questions and process refunds.
- To keep the business records the law requires (tax and accounting).
- To email you now and then about our other guides and offers. Every one of these emails has an unsubscribe link, and you can opt out at any time.
We don't sell or rent your information, and we never give your email address to anyone else for their own marketing.
How long we keep it
Download links expire after 30 days. We keep order records for as long as tax and accounting laws require (in Canada, generally six years), then delete them. If you unsubscribe, we stop sending you offers right away; we only keep your order record as described here.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update this page and the date at the top.
